When you see Tyler’s videos it’s impressive how clean his work is, most of the time working alongside his wife/partner doing some amazing photos and films.

They are open to contracts on their website, you should take a look if you are interested but we prefer the hard way right? so let’s talk about Tyer’s equipment so you can do exactly the same he’s doing without paying anyone.

Tyler Sony Camera

Despite being an older model or the fact that it doesn’t possess too many megapixels this camera is an impressive and capable full-frame camera.

Tyler’s DJI Mavic 2 Pro

Tyler Stalman DJI Drone

Why is everyone using DJI’s drones? because they are the best so far and we (once again) are going to explain to you why:

The Mavic 2 Pro is really easy to pack. This drone gives us a lot of really nice features, DJI Mavic 2 Pro is way more impressive than DJI’s previous effort with the Mavic Pro drone.

The remote control has been updated to being really comfortable to use, it has a monochrome-display it shows battery status, telemetry data, and other information. It’s actually possible to fly the DJI Mavic 2 Pro without a phone attached, but you’ll still need an iOS or Android device to activate the drone.

We don’t recommend you to fly without the use of a smartphone, even more understanding that you won’t see the view through the camera without a phone.

What we like:

  • Superlative 4K video
  • 20MP Raw and JPEG still imaging.
  • Great battery life
  • Compact, foldable design
  • Obstacle avoidance sensors.
  • Lightweight, easy to pack.

What we don’t like:

  • 8GB internal memory isn’t enough
  • No DCI format support
  • Expensive.

This drone – as we already said – is the perfect option, the flight time is rated up to 31 minutes with the battery fully charged, but always expect a little less, in our test with a normal temperature of summer here in California it went to 27 minutes, but that’s still good, al least for us.

Tyler Stalman Mic

The Deity D3 Pro is known as the ‘’first smart mic’’ because this one is attachable to your smartphone, tablet, DSLR or almost everything with a mic connector of 0.138 in.

The sound quality while using this microphone is just beautiful. We can’t complain about anything, it has a powerful aluminum body that protects it from crashes but let’s jump into the specifications to be more precise.

  • Very expensive
  • Transducer principles: pre-polarized condenser
  • Dynamic range: 114dB
  • Pick up pattern: super-cardioid
  • SPL: 130 dB SPL
  • Frequency Range: 50HZ – 20KHZ
  • THD: less than/equal to: 0.1%
  • Output impedance: 200 Ohms
  • Battery Type: Lithium-ion
  • Sensitivity: -35 +/- 2dB re 1V/Pa @1KHZ
  • Output Port: smart 3.5mm TRRS
  • Housing material: aluminum metal

With the faster growth of the gamer industries, this kind of mic has been used for streamers for a long time already but despite the fact of gamers being entered the market we can recommend this one for photographers for any other activities too.

The things we like:

  • Highly directional great for record only your voice or the voice you want to record
  • Two-stage low cut filters to cut out background noise
  • Highly versatile, attachable to many devices.
  • Easily adaptable to different arms and accessories.
  • Excellent vocal capture.

The things we don’t like:

  • Sounds reflections become an issue with distance (bad for streamers)
  • Very expensive compared to other mics.
